  • Let's Get Organized!

    Funded Oct 5, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to this project. These bags have been such a blessing to our students in helping them carry their materials between classes. Before they had to carry their materials by hand and were dropping things. Now they can fit all of their things in their bags and carry them with ease. They are so strong and sturdy! I allowed them to decorate them and make them their own. They had so much fun with this! They were so excited and appreciative of these bags. Thanks again for contributing to our classroom!”

  • Good Listeners Make Great Readers!

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation that went towards purchasing new read aloud books for my classroom! Theses books are such a great resource! Being able to listen to a fluent reader increase a student's comprehension and own fluency. Great listeners become great readers! These books with companion CD's are used during reading centers. It is a huge blessing to be able to add these to my classroom centers, as I only had cassette tapes that would constantly break when used. Yes, cassette tapes! Most students do not even know what they are anymore. They were more of an artifact than actual resource, so having these CD's and books are a huge blessing. Thank you!!!”

  • Able Tables: with Tables, Students are able to Collaborate!

    Funded May 5, 2020

These tables could not have come at a better time! Due to the recent covid-19 pandemic, students must remain 6 ft apart in the classroom. With the help of this donors choose project, I now have enough tables to house my 10 students with proper social distancing.

My students were excited to start the new year off with these brand new tables! With two students at each table, it gives them the perfect amount of personal space, while still being close enough to their classmates to be able to collaborate with each other on assignments and tasks during the day.

The tables are sturdy and fit perfectly in my classroom. Thank you so much for your generous contributions to be able to make this year the best it can be! Your donation is appreciated more than you know and will impact not only this group of students, but students for years to come!”

  • Love to Read!

    Funded Mar 16, 2019

My book box arrived and I unveiled the books to my class today! They were so excited to see the new books added to our classroom library! The students were able to have a "book tasting" where they were able travel to tables of books in rotations and explore or "taste" the new books. After the students had a chance to visit all of the tables, they were allowed to choose a book to read during DEAR time (drop everything and read). I was so impressed with how engaged the students were with the books. They were so engaged and reading! The students that are usually frustrated and off task during this time were reading! Thank you so much for providing this great resource to my students this year and for my future students.”

  • Let's Get Organized!

    Funded Oct 12, 2018

Thank you so much for all of the support to help me fund my very first Donor's Choose project. My students were so excited to receive their chairback buddies! Seeing their faces light up when I gave them to them to put on their chairs was priceless.

It has helped my students be more organized and free up some space on their tables with the use of the chairback buddies. They love the sense of ownership that it gives them. They have so many storage pockets that keeps all of their stuff neat and organized so that they are ready to learn!

Resources are not always easy to come by and this gift was absolutely perfect for my classroom this year. I can't wait to come up with my next project to continue to improve my classroom. A well organized classroom makes for a great learning environment! Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Olsen

I am entering into my third full year of teaching and third different grade-level. I started teaching mid-year in third grade, then I taught fifth grade for two years, and now I am moving to second grade! I am making the transition from fifth to second with not a lot of grade-level materials. In this project, I am asking for materials to help my students become better readers through the use of a listening center and a grade-level library. I am also asking for a storage bin center and table caddies to store my students' materials since they will be sitting at tables instead of desks. This helps keep them organized and wastes less time rummaging through messy desks and pencil boxes. Lastly, I am asking for a few games for my students to play with on those bad weather days when we can't get outside. Thank you for donating to my classroom to create the best learning experience for my students - my kids!
