  • The First Salmon Ceremony

    Funded Aug 22, 2024

I cannot express just how important this project is to me and I am so grateful that you felt that way too. These books will provide additional support to my classroom curriculum that will help students better comprehend the value Salmon was to the Native Americans in the Pacific Northwest.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

  • A Mouse Goes a Long Ways!

    Funded May 4, 2024

I am thrilled that you chose to support education by helping to fund my project. The world needs more people like you. On behalf of my students and myself, We say thank you.

We all know we can do things on our own but together we can do really great things.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

  • School Supply and Demand

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

My students use many of these resources daily whether it is the pencil sharpener or the pencil dispenser.

To "run" a classroom means having processes and procedures in place. Each teacher needs to have a plan for collecting papers, turning in homework, and how each child will take care of their pencils, and how to get more when they need them. It may seem like a small detail but it is something we deal with every day. Having the ability to organize our classroom goes a long way toward making our classrooms run smoothly.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

  • Let's Talk About Feelings and Emotions

    Funded Jan 1, 2024

These books aren't just stories that entertain students. They include life lessons and ways to communicate feelings.

Due to Covid, many students were isolated at home with a grandparent or older sibling taking care of them while a parent or guardian worked. Most were not reading books or "communicating" with a friend or even a sibling in person. They were on devices. As a result, we have a generation of students who lack oral language fluency. They have great difficulty communicating their feelings.

These stories/books help to give them the "words" to say when they don't know what to say. These lessons on gratitude, kindness, mindfulness, perserverance, and more help to shape our children and better prepare them to "cope" in today's world and give them the "words" to be able to articulate what they are feeling.

Thank you so much as my colleague and I work every day to help our kids learn better ways to solve problems, not give up when things are difficult, and become aware of their emotions and how to deal with them productively.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

  • Creative Classroom Student Engagement!

    Funded May 15, 2023

Because of your donations, I have been able to create, store, and more easily manage math manipulatives and games for my students. Having these hands-on experiences, help students in their first exposures to new skills, further develop their understanding of a skill, or expand their understanding of a skill. Hands-on games allow students to have fun while engaging in math "play". It also gets them excited about math.

Having the materials to organize the pieces for the math games, allows students to be independent. During our math workshop time, it gives them the ability to choose their game and the equipment that goes with the game while I am working with other students providing one-on-one or small group help.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.
