  • Social Studies Should Be Engaging!

    Funded Dec 13, 2022

I truly appreciate your and compassion towards my project. Our current social studies curriculum is very dated and simply boring to my students. Thanks to you, I will be able to purchase them engaging activities from Teachers Pay Teachers. I simply don’t have the words to say how much you truly mean to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tomblin

I am not express my thanks to you for supplying my classroom with EVERYTHING they need. I am truly so thankful for your kindness and your commitment to education. In a rural area, we cannot require students to provide their own supplies… which then comes out of the teachers pocket. You are appreciated more than you know!”

    Funded Sep 3, 2022

I truly appreciated you donating these books to my classroom! The “I Survived” and “Who was” books are so educational, but the students LOVE them! I am so excited that they will get to fall in love with reading all while learning about different events in history. I truly appreciate you!”

    Ms. Tomblin

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

I cannot express how grateful I am for your donation. Living in rural West Virginia, we don’t always have the best supplies or the “extra” things that others may use as learning tools in their classroom and this is just one thing “extra” that I’m so excited to implement!”

I am so happy to give low income students the best of the best! It makes them feel like they are somebody!”

  • Help Me Provide Low Income Students with School Supplies

    Funded Oct 1, 2018

I want to first thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations. My students now have their own crayons, markers, colored pencils, construction paper, scissors, etc., and does not have to share within the class. My students have supplies they needed to create get well soon cards to a fellow aide in our building who had health issues in front of my students, and was in the hospital for a few days. When she returned, my students had their cards made with the construction paper, crayons, and markers, and wanted to give them to her. She cried, and it made me so proud of my students because they all are so kind and wanted to put their materials to use.

When my students came into school and saw all of the supplies stacked on the tables, they WERE IN SHOCK! I had "that is ours!?" "oh my goodness Ms. Tomblin, can we use it?" I thought they had received a million dollars because of their reaction. They are so thankful every day for their supplies because they do not have access to anything at home like we have in the classroom.

I am so thankful that they were given these supplies because they are so deserving. They are wonderful students and they have been told time and time again that they will never have a chance at life because of their SES. I hope that each teacher they have in life will reach out to the community and receive the help needed to make their classroom have a healthy learning environment.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tomblin

I will use the iPads in small groups to give students differentiated instruction. When the students are not using the iPads, I will use one to access Class Dojo to provide a positive classroom management plan to my students. My students do not have access to technology in their homes, but citizens rely on technology and I want them to have the opportunity to be just as successful as anyone else. My heart breaks for these students and I am trying to fight to get the resources they need. My students would be excited to learn if they had these resources available to them.
