  • Audiobooks for Early Readers!

    Funded Jun 8, 2022

Our project is fully funded! Thank you so much for sharing and donating to bring audiobooks to my early readers. I can’t wait to see my kiddos explore these stories! This will be such a great way to foster the love of reading early on. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gayton

  • Help Active Learners Focus and Move!

    Funded Feb 21, 2022

This project has had an AMAZING impact on my students' day to day experience in the classroom. I mostly wanted flexible seating to support my neurodivergent students, but it has benefited EVERY student in my classroom. Every morning they choose their seat for the day that will help them learn best. They can move to anywhere in the classroom with their flexible seating to help them focus. Many of my students choose to use the noise reducing headphones to help them during independent work, and the noisy times when we are singing songs or counting together. Our new offices have really helped my learners block out distractions and focus on their task. I love that the fidgets and chair bands help my kiddos to wiggle while they work. Their attention has improved, and they do their best work when they are able to move, stand and stretch out. Thank you so much for making this project possible. I have wanted to try implementing flexible seating for many years in my classroom, and your donations made it possible. Now I have seen the amazing results and will continue to use these items every year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gayton

  • Exciting Books for Eager Young Readers

    Funded May 5, 2020

WE DID IT! Our project has been funded, and when my students walk through our classroom doors, there will be new, engaging books for them to choose from. Thank you! You have made a difference. Students only develop a love of reading when they find a book that they LOVE!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gayton

  • New Classroom Library for Little Readers!

    Funded Jul 8, 2018

I cannot thank you enough for your contributions to our classroom library. It is definitely my students' favorite spot in our room! They love to see our new read alouds on display on the bookcase, and it is the first place they run to during Read to Self time. I love their excitement to go "book shopping" to pick out new books from our shelves to put in their book bins each week. They know the reading bench has special chapter books, and are counting down the days til they are ready to pick from those buckets! They love to lounge on the bench and look through their books. They are always finding new ways to use it! When we do a read aloud on the carpet, only the best behaved students get to sit on the bench, and it is a reward they work hard for. Your contributions to our classroom are furthering their love for reading and encouraging them to reach their goals. You have made a difference for these students, most of whom do not have positive reading environments or resources at their homes. THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gayton

In today's world, technology is necessary for every career field. Students who do not have access to iPads and modern technology will be missing out on skills that are needed for their success in today's workforce. My student population comes from mostly low-income homes where they might not have access to learning apps that help with their phonics instruction, tech skills, and coding. We share a few iPads with other classes in our grade level, but we would really benefit from having a set in our room at all times to be used in our math and literacy rotations! A tech center in our rotations allows students to stay focused and engaged on a specific learning target while other students are in a small group or working on a hands-on center. Many of the apps we use record data that is sent to me so I can track their progress and learning, as well. Having our own set of iPads in our room would allow students who need extra practice the opportunity to get on to practice their phonics skills and reading at any time. Having access to modern technology at a young age is invaluable in today's world, and will help prepare my first graders with valuable skills for their future! Thank you so much for helping these little learners expand their experiences!
