  • Hands on Learning

    Funded Aug 8, 2019

Thank you for helping me fund this "shoot for the moon" type of project! It was truly a wish list of things I could only dream of having in my classroom! We have begun to open each item and use them as appropriately and I can not express the excitement that my students have exhibited! They are PUMPED!

The requested materials help my early learners feel successful practicing skills. The hands on, fine motor practice, helps students prepare for later writing successes as well. I am thrilled to continue using the materials to enrich student's lives.

THANK YOU for making our dreams come true!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brewer

  • Working Where We Like

    Funded May 6, 2019

I want to thank you again for helping me fund another flexible seating project with Donor's Choose! While this project was funded last spring, I waited until I had a new lass to open our treasures and begin experimenting. As expected, they were so excited! We have pulled out our new mats to sit on, used our new rainbow drawer to store materials, and now each student has a personalized "mailbox" to keep their hard work safe.

Not only do my students love the additions, I appreciate how organized and safe we are able to keep our classroom!

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brewer

I am asking for additional flexible seating options and organizational tools for my kindergartners. Since beginning flexible seating 2 years ago, I have noticed what students tend to gravitate to: comfortable floor seating and cozy containers (such as laundry baskets). These options give students comfort and safety in our classroom. Students both crave the freedom of the floor & the support of enclosures. We also are in need of additional ways to store their work & materials: such as the rainbow colored drawers. Students would be more easily able to find materials and put them back by using color coding.
