  • Let’s Bring Clear Bins for Our Centers!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

My Pre-K classroom has an organized place where children are able to see their materials and play. The children are happy to be able to see their games and that they are able independently to get the game of their choice. The next step for these children is to go to Kindergarten. Now they are practicing how to get their materials by themself. Having this cubby with clear bins, help them see where and how to put away their materials. This cubby is a helpful item to help my students get ready for independent work.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. DePompeis

  • Drawing Will Keep Us Together!!

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

During the 2019-2020 Covid19 Pandemic, my students had to be at home learning through the computer. The demography of the neighborhood is students who come from diverse backgrounds and low-income homes. Therefore, parents and caregivers didn't have the resources and monetary means to buy supplies for the children to learn at home. The supplies that I acquired through your generous contributions, help me to distribute supplies to each student at home. Students in Pre-K need lots of hands-on materials. I was able to provide these hands-on materials to each of my students. My students and I are so thankful for your help. Learning online with these supplies was more fun and more pre-k appropriate than learning just with a computer. Thank you from our hearts for your help and for remembering the importance to educate a child at their developmental level. Thank you.”

  • An Effective Successful Pre-K Classroom

    Funded Jan 15, 2012

Thanks to you, our preschool students are enjoying learning with fun and interactive instructional games. Thank you for your recent generous gift of letter, number, dramatic play and interactive game materials to the children of P.S. 204. Your commitment to helping children in our community is greatly appreciated by those who help them and, most importantly, by those who benefit from these generous gifts.

Thanks to donors like you, the preschool children at P.S.204 have the benefit to enjoy learning toys and games that help them in their different learning styles.

Your donation is being used to help these children with their motor skills, communication, socialization, pleasurable learning and more. The children are eager to use their new games. They communicate with me, as well as their friends and family on how they are learning with their new educational toys. These new educational games are an excellent component to our pre-k curriculum.

Again, thank you for all you do for our schools. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. DePompeis

My children are 4 year-Olds who are very active and curious about their surroundings. My school is pre-k to 5th grade. My classroom is composed of bilingual children who are for the first time introduced to the English language. We need lots of visuals, hands-on and creative projects to help them learn their second language. We are going through drastic budget cuts and as a result the school is cutting into our basic resources and materials. As a teacher, I am sadly obligated to give up fun and creative projects and to spend my money to buy basic materials such as pens, paper, pencils, notebooks to help my students. Therefore, I am not able to spend money to buy a fish tank. These children are very young and they desperately need pets to see them grow. They need creative ways to open their imagination. A Pet is essential in a pre-k classroom.
