Teaching elementary students has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl. My goal has been to make a difference in the lives of my young students, and to instill in them a desire to become lifelong learners. At an early age I acquired a love of reading that I want to pass on to all my students. If a child can't read, he/she will not be able to succeed in other academic areas of the curriculum. I teach first grade at an elementary school with a diverse population of children. The range of ability levels in my classroom is from nonreaders to advanced readers. I happily face the challenge of meeting the needs of all my students, and differentiate their instruction the best way I can.
