My school counselor recommended a calming corner in the classroom so these little students have a place to escape to when they are upset so they can feel comfort and calm and get back to learning and having fun in the classroom. This space is inviting and comfortable and gives them what they need to settle their emotions, relax, and get the mind back on track to learning and having fun in the classroom with their teacher and this classmates. It’s a calming corner and it does just that! Calm!
