Bring Science To Life
Funded Jun 13, 2024Thank you very much for helping my students. They are always so happy when they receive new materials and love learning more about science. As soon as I receive the materials I will take pictures to show how the materials are being used. Your generosity will help a long way.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Bezos Family Foundation and 3 other donors.Science Spectacular
Funded Sep 29, 2022These STEM science kits are awesome!
They have so many new ways of exploring the topics we are covering on science. The students come to class everyday so excited because they can't wait to see what we will be doing next. I love to see the looks on their faces when we can explore instead of just watching a video or reading a book. The hands on approach is the best for the students. They are able to move and change things and it becomes easier to understand topics in person as opposed to just using our imaginations.”

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Classroom Supporter.Read It! Love It!
Funded Jan 30, 2019In order to get children excited to read it is important to have a large variety of books for them to choose to read. The project that you funded, did just that. When the box arrived the children couldn't wait to open it and look through all the titles. First we spoke about the different levels of the texts and then we spoke about the different genres of each book. I told them that it was great to have a favorite author or genre of book, but it was equally important to read books that were out of their comfort zone. This donation has helped them do just that.
Every morning when the children enter the classroom they are asked to exchange the books they have finished reading and choose new ones. The children are given 30 minutes a day of independent reading and the excitement of finding new titles is still evident. It makes me very happy that we have gotten through most of the school year and the children still have titles that are new to them.
I have found it most rewarding when a child finds a particular author or genre of book and they go out and get more books with similar writing. It is very exciting to watch their love of reading grow and this would not have been possible without the assortment of books you sent to us. Class 3-226 thanks you very much.”
