Students will use dramatic play costumes to create play through real-life scenarios. Students can dress up as doctors and nurses and cure a common cold or veterinarians to heal the puppy and other pets. In the block center, they can be the construction workers and crew leader. In the kitchen center, they can be the chef on duty and create meals and menus. Pretending to play about real-life builds vocabulary, creativity, problem-solving, and social skills. Students also need to build motor skills through arts and crafts, such as painting. Students build sensory skills in the sand and water table and some scientific processes.
