I am so greatful and overjoyed that you chosen to fund this project for my students. Remote Learning is not only a new experience for all of us but a difficult one for our youngest learners.

You have made it possible for my young scholars to engage in hands-on learning using materials they can manipulate, which is developmentallyappropriatefor children their age. The knowledge that my students will gain as a result of the resources that will be provided is priceless. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

    Funded Apr 10, 2019

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous contributions to our classroom community. We are having a wonderful time during Active Play with the bikes we were able to purchase for the students. The students are able to work on their strength and coordination in the area of gross motor development.

We finally have gross motor equipment that is new and sturdy and safe for the students to use. We appreciate your generosity and caring nature towards our preschool students.”

Our next step is to begin our unit of study on Exercise. The 5 week unit focuses on healthy eating habits and exercise for young children. Students will be able to explore...

    - Different kinds of exercise

-How people stay safe when they exercise and how our bodies work when we exercise.

-What our bodies need in order to move and exercise.

    -Jobs related to exercise.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.”

    Ms. Minor

  • Classroom Connections

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

The new resources have provided opportunities for my students to become more imaginative in their exploration through play. The students were so excited to hear that there were new materials in the classroom. As the materials were being introduced in each interest area, the students were in awe. They were curious to know how the items work and how they fit in with the materials that we already have.

The students helped to create rules for how to take care of the materials so that they will last. They were very curious and asked who purchased them. I told them that some very nice people donated money to the classroom so that we could buy nice resources to replace the ones that were old and worn out. My students were very excited to create their thank you notes to show their appreciation for their new materials.

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring enough to give selflessly so that my students could have good quality developmentally appropriately learning materials in their classroom community for the enhancement of their learning experiences.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Minor

I am a Head Start teacher in a public school that serves inner city students. My classroom consists of 20 students ages 4-5 years old. As a classroom teacher it is necessary for me to create an environment that is conducive to the uniqueness of each child. I accomplish this by creating a classroom community that teaches students to be Thinkers, Communicators, Risk Takers, Caring, Open Minded and principled. I teach my students how to be empathetic towards each other and appreciate the diversity within our classroom community. Equipping my classroom with hands on developmentally appropriate materials will help to ensure their future academic success. I want to create an environment in which my students can take charge of their own learning through my facilitation of higher order thinking and equipment and materials that will scaffold their learning.
