My classroom, the RSP room at an elementary school, has always had a "Calming Corner", a place where students can come when they need to get their bodies and mind back in regulation and ready to learn. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, students are unable to use the community chairs, fidgets and other sensory objects that are usually shared. I would like to have individual items for students to use to help regulate their anxiety, since we can no longer share items. My goal is to have individual items that students can keep with them in their general education classrooms to help lessen the growing anxiety during this time.
