If my project is fully funded, each of my students will be given their own headset. Students will have the opportunity to regularly speak, record, and listen to themselves to provide self-feedback and self-correction. Regular use of this tool will prepare students for WIDA access testing and increase their comfort levels when speaking. My students have wonderful stories and knowledge to share, but often struggle to find the words they need to formulate complete sentences or express their unique thoughts and ideas. It is my hope that the regular opportunity to practice their speaking and listening skills will increase my student's self-confidence, and encourage them to proudly share their voices.
