Exploring our Digital Rights and Digital Literacy

I want to take a moment to thank you again for all of your support in providing my students with two classroom sets of Cory Doctorow's "Little Brother". Very rarely do my students find a book that engages and excites them to start reading it. However, from the moment we received the books and my students had the chance to flip through a copy of the book themselves, they've been extremely enthused about starting to read it.

Furthermore, your support not only provided my students with an amazing text to read but also one that will offer them with the opportunity to engage in dialogue about a topic which has a huge impact on their everyday lives: digital media, literacy, and technology. Since the beginning of the year, I have been continually surprised how much they engage with, speak about, and use digital media in their lives, and now because of your generous donations, my students have the opportunity to gain a deeper awareness and critically analyze the manners in which digital media and literacy impacts and influences them and the world around them.

Thank you again for all the support you provided in allowing this project to be funded. The response received truly exceeded all my expectations. My students and I are extremely grateful for all of your help. Thank you for making this project possible!
