  • Our Lips AREN’T Sealed With The Secret Stories!

    Funded Apr 13, 2024

First of all, Thank you for you generosity and commitment to helping teachers give all they can to their students. I am so grateful for the opportunity you have made possible in my Reading intervention classroom.

The materials that were purchased with your donations are a staple item in my daily instruction. They ae displayed all year round and are referenced in all lessons. The Secret Stories has been a valuable tool to help make my lessons come to life and make lasting connections with my students. It has helped them in so many ways this school year already and I've only had them up for a little over a month. I plan to start using them right away, as soon as the next school year begins and make an even bigger impact in their learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lamprea

  • Kids Getting Creative in Kindergarten!

    Funded Mar 2, 2022

The art materials that you kindly donated to are extremely appreciated by our classroom. We have been busy having fun and making weekly projects connected to our curriculum. Our creativity has been flowing!

These tools helps us make beautiful art that is displayed for everyone to see and enjoy. We are extremely proud to see our work decorate our walls. An even better surprise is that we will continue to use these materials for at least another year!

Thank You for your generosity and kindness.”

  • So Cool in School Supplies!

    Funded Jul 13, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting my students this year. They have all received their individual set of school supplies and organizing materials. I believe that the best part of you supporting my class is that they don't have to worry about sharing items and the germs that go with that.

I really appreciate that, with your donation, you have provided a little more peace of mind to me and their parents. Any little bit of peace of mind that we can get during this year of constant uncertainty is truly what we need.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lamprea

  • Comfy, Cozy Reading Nook!

    Funded Jul 13, 2020

Thank you all for your generous donations. I really appreciate your kindness and support for teachers. I can’t tell you how happy this makes my heart! I also can’t wait to see my students enjoying the space that this will create in their classroom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • Comfy, Cozy, Cool Carpet for Kinders!

    Funded Nov 8, 2019

Thank you so much for choosing my classroom project for your donation! The students have really enjoyed having a warm, cozy sitting area for lessons and activities. The rug has added a homey feel to the classroom and has been the focal point of a lot of lessons. Every time someone walks in the room they compliment how nice the addition of the rug has been to my classroom. It went form a cold, sterile looking environment to a warm, cozy one that people are drawn to.

The first time that the students saw the rug come in, they were super excited to see what was being delivered by our custodian. They left the room for lunch, and I rolled it out to surprise them. When they walked in the room and saw the rug, the quickly ran to it and laid on it. We had our first read aloud with a video of a fireplace in the background and students expressed how much they loved sitting on it. Now, we spend our morning meeting time, Math lesson time, and Literacy lesson time on the rug. We can gather and spend close time together, which is something that most kindergarten teachers love doing.

Because of your kind donations, my class can enjoy time in a comfortable spot in the room. They can enjoy a good book in a cozy spot, and can sit with a friend to build a tower. Thank you so much for thinking of my students when making your donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lamprea

  • Extra, Extra! Read All About It!

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

Scholastic News has been amazing for my students this year! Through these, they are learning the differences between informational writing, and fictional writing. They are loving the topics that are presented in each article, and usually beg me to get these every week. The most valuable lesson they had learned is using these to find evidence when answering questions. They enjoy looking through the articles to find answers to questions, and then highlighting where they found it.

This is a skill that can be difficult to learn, but your generous donation has made it fun for my second graders to learn how to look for evidence in text.”

  • Inspiring Communication Pack

    Funded Aug 14, 2018

My students love our communication pack! Thanks to your donations, they have been able to showcase their work to the whole class using the document camera. They have been able to write and communicate their answers to a question by using the dry erase clipboards with such ease. They have also used the clipboards to add flexibility as to where they sit in the classroom, making this a bonus item because of its multiple uses. They also love using the colorful lights during our small group sessions as a way to tell their teacher and team members that they understand, or need help with the topic being discussed.

We are truly grateful for the generosity you have showed us in helping us get these items.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lamprea

The items in this request are a simple, but vital part of my goal to have engaging conversations with my students this year. My students will use the items in this pack to communicate with each other, and with me. During presentations, they will use the HUE HD Pro camera to show the item or work that they are presenting to the entire class or small group. The white boards will be used by the student audience to communicate answers to any questions, or to share encouraging words to the presenter without interruptions. Helps us create an environment of communication using technology! These students have little access to technology, and deserve the experience of a 21st century classroom. One where they can feel safe, and comfortable to share their thoughts. Sometimes we communicate better through showing what we are talking about, and with a high percentage of my students being English Language Learners, this means a whole lot more. It means that they can have the right tools to freely communicate with everyone.
