Thank you so much for your donation! The project was funded! This will give my the ability to create videos, code and work together to show their understanding of content! Students will be so excited to show their creativity and showcase their talents. I can’t express my gratitude enough.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Poulin
This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 7 other donors.
I can't express the gratitude I feel towards your generosity. Your actions have led to students being able to loose themselves in a book they can relate to on some level. We will be able to read and collaborate to create work that's shows deeper comprehension. With this book, students will regain their love of reading.”
Obtaining class sets of books can be difficult at times. Being able to read a book together in a small group as a novel study with special needs students is an amazing experience. They have so many opportunities to read and imagine as they listen to others read to them.
Reading in a small group gives students the opportunity to make mistakes and feel safe to do so. They are open to having meaningful discussions and listen to each other's thoughts and opinions. We also learn about events that we can relate to. Receiving Esperanza Rising will allow my students to read about characters that struggle but work hard to overcome challenges.
