  • Adding Bright Colors to Our Classroom With a Color Printer

    Funded Nov 28, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards our printer. Your donation meant so much to my students and myself. The students used it for various projects throughout the year.

The students were able to print out their Flat Stanley for their Flat Stanley project. The students will be able to take their Flat Stanley everywhere they go and keep a journal of their adventures. The students also used the printer to make hot air balloons that they decorated for Stepping Up and to decorate our room. The printer will be used for years to come so that their projects can be brought to life.

Thank you again for your generous donation towards our classroom. The students loved watching their projects come to life.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Comfort

  • Technology in the Classroom: It Opens a World of Learning

    Funded Dec 17, 2019

I just want to thank you very much for donating an IPad to my classroom. Technology is used by the students to enhance their learning. The children are able to go on to apps for reading, writing, math and to play educational games. It allows us to differentiate work for each student so they do not become frustrated and allows the students who are ready to move on with the work given to them. It also allows the students to be independent and pick what they would like to work on. Some of the websites that we are registered for keeps track of the students progress to let us know how they are doing.

The students were so excited to receive an IPad for the classroom. They could not wait to have their turn so they could try it. They were so proud to be using it by themselves. The students liked playing some of the educational games as well as some of the reading, writing and math activities that I installed for them. Sometimes they do not even realize they are learning g because they are having fun.

Yes some of the children who are shy like having the ability to work on their own. They eventually ask other children if they would like to work with them. Sometimes they listen to stories together. Then some students like the alone time where they get to do their work without being bothered. This IPad has helped my children tremendously with their learning. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Comfort

  • Creating Little Artists

    Funded May 23, 2018

I want to thank you again for all the great art supplies you donated to my classroom. Some of my students have never seen or used any type of art supplies before coming to Pre-k. Some have used them but not correctly. The students were very excited when I opened the boxes with the materials. They were excited when I took out the paint and paintbrushes, the big sheets of construction paper, tissue paper, different types of crayons and markers, glitter and other supplies. The students looked at the art supplies and examined the different supplies. They could not wait to use them.

All of our ELA units have art built into them as a center so the children will get to explore these materials in each unit that we do. The first unit is welcome to Pre-k so the children were able to experiment with the art supplies. Within the next couple of units the children will be able to use these art supplies to make murals, portraits and pictures of what they are learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Comfort

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Arts Funder and 4 other donors.
I am asking for basic art supplies such as paint, construction paper, drawing paper, crayons, wiggly eyes, glitter, and frames because my students love to work in the art center to create beautiful pictures and sculptures. They love to paint and draw pictures that go with each one of our units of study. We create self-portraits, paint seasonal pictures and create objects that go with the letters of the alphabet. These are just a few art projects that will be done in my classroom with the students. These art supplies will enable my students to express themselves through beautiful art and sculpture projects they can make. By doing art in the classroom it will bridge the gap between school and home in a positive way. The students will be proud to bring home their art projects and share how they created it and why.
