Art on Display: A Room Divider for Creative Showcases.
Funded Nov 13, 2024For our inaugural CTE (Career and Technical Education) showcase, our students transformed the space into an inspiring gallery using four-panel room dividers to display their projects. These dividers served as personalized exhibit areas, showcasing everything from vibrant poster boards and hands-on project demonstrations to creative visual aids that reflected their hard work and innovative thinking. The dividers not only helped organize the showcase but also gave each student their own "mini-booth" to shine, creating a professional atmosphere that highlighted their unique skills and passions. The arrangement turned the room into a buzzing hub of creativity, where the diversity of their talents was proudly on display for everyone to admire.
Our students were thrilled to share their achievements with friends, teachers, and families who came to support them. The excitement was palpable as they enthusiastically explained their projects, answered questions, and received well-earned praise from their audience. It was clear how much this opportunity meant to them, as many expressed pride in being able to showcase their work in such a meaningful way. Parents and teachers alike were amazed at the level of effort and dedication each student brought to their projects, while peers exchanged encouragement and admiration. The event was not just a showcase of skills but a celebration of the students' hard work and their growing confidence in pursuing their future career paths.”

Learning Stations
Funded Aug 17, 2023I have been religiously using the hand held white boards and headphones in my classroom. They have gone a long way to helping my struggling learners both access the materials and to make their thinking visible. I have also been sharing the materials with other teachers in our building, which has greatly helped our school community.
I've used the headphones as a learning station to hear the famous Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, to hear poets in their own voices, and as an SEL tool to help focus writers. The handheld whiteboards are used daily for Do Nows and games.
Thank you SONIC foundation and all the private donors!”
