TIME For Kids is a current events magazine that reinforces and boosts reading and critical thinking skills that our children need to succeed in the classroom, on tests, and beyond. Exposure to these articles are crucial to their understanding about what is happening in the world. With TIME For Kids, my students can read nonfiction articles about real events and issues that are important to them. Every week, TIME For Kids highlights new topics that we can read about and incorporate into fun lessons that range from social studies and science to world news and geography. Best of all, our students will develop vocabulary, reading comprehension, critical thinking and writing skills. TIME For Kids is used by many teachers in Title 1 schools for the basic purpose for which Title 1 was created—to give all children, regardless of family income, the opportunity and support to achieve proficiency or better on high-quality state standards. Budgets are tight, and many families cannot afford to help bring this valuable resource into our classroom. Please help us connect our students to the world around them.
