  • Library Land

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you for supporting our school library! I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations. The students have been extremely excited for all of the new things that have received!

The fun bookmarks and pencils have been a hit. They get so excited to pick a new one when they turn in their reading trackers! The fun pillows and comfy chair have given bot only our students a spot to read during library, but also a spot for the students that join us for Reading Club.

Your support has helped with not only teaching materials or reading incentives, but also helping to provide a welcoming environment for our students.

    Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Medrano

  • Let's Read!

    Funded Nov 4, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting our project! It has been wonderful having all of these great new books in our library. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

The students were so excited to see all of the new books! Many of them were checked out immediately. We have no been able to keep some of them on the shelves, they are so popular! The Minecraft novels are a huge hit. Students keep asking for them. The Bluey books are always checked out as well as the Sonic graphic novels. Many of the picture books have been great read alouds for our pre-k friends.

We cannot thank you enough for supporting our library! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to get books that our students love!”

  • Materials for First Grade

    Funded Oct 11, 2021

I cannot begin to tell you how helpful these materials have been in our first grade classroom. We have many materials that will help us from individual work, small group, centers, and whole group activities.

Each student has been able to use the wonderful headphones that we received. We were able to use them to work on our MAPs assessment for the winter. We are also able to use them for testing in Canvas, our online learning platform.

I have been able to create new centers using the materials from this project. I have made new individual 120 chart and laminated them for each student.

The alphabet materials are used in small groups as well as centers and have helped with my students' phonics skills.

The books received are displayed for all students to see and read when they would like.

Thank you for your generosity to help support our first grade class! We appreciate you!”

  • Student Learning Materials

    Funded Feb 11, 2021

Thank you so much for helping me with this project! Transitioning to the hybrid model and then full face-to-face while still remaining on line had it's challenges, but with the help from all of you to fund this project I was able to let my in person students have the materials they needed and it was one less thing I needed to worry about.

These materials were used to give each student their own set of materials. With COVID, we are unable to share any type of materials. Each student was able to receive a plastic storage tub with all of their materials for independent time/centers at their table. Instead of having students rotate, they were able to have their own center at their table.

The students were about to enjoy these materials thanks to all of you! They were so happy that they were still able to have some of the joy with centers, even with it being socially distanced. They were all able to use their own materials without worrying about spreading germs. You all helped provide that. Thank you!”

  • Laptop for 1st Grade

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

This computer has helped me tremendously. Around Veteran's Day all staff was moved to working from home. I was used to using two computers while teaching online. Working from home, I was using my personal laptop and logging in with my phone as well to use as a second computer.

This laptop has served as my second computer. I am able to use the computer for lesson planning, progress monitoring, research and many other things. I am also able to connect my document camera to the laptop from this project and can have my students see what I am writing, as I am writing. This is what I was using my phone for previously.

I am beyond grateful that I was able to get this project funded. It helped me when I needed it most and I have been using it daily since I received it. Thank you all for your generosity.”

  • Brainpop Jr. for First Grade

    Funded Sep 24, 2020

Every time I tell my students that we will be watching a Brainpop Jr. video, they are immediately excited. These videos are an immediate engagement tool. I watch the students as they watch the videos. They love them! Not only are these videos entertaining for the students to watch, but they introduce and explain the concepts I am trying to teach in a way that connects with them. The activities after the videos are another tool that we use to stay engaged in our lesson. These videos have helped me teach my students in a whole group setting as well as in a small group setting. We cannot thank you enough for the generosity you all have shown our classroom. It is because of you that we get to have this fun, engaging, and helpful resource.”

  • Making Instruction Clearer With a Document Camera for Learning

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

Thank you for supporting my classroom. This document camera was originally asked for so that I would be able to choose to work from home during distance education. However, in November we were told that it was no longer an option. All teachers would be teaching from home. I needed this document camera more than ever. I tried to use my phone, but that was challenging for them to see. This document camera gives the students the ability to see clear images through our online learning sessions. I can project math manipulativs, our math work book, writing examples, and our texts for reading. They are able to see what I am doing in real time. They can watch me model as I teach. This has been a huge help in our classroom. I cannot thank you enough. I am beyond grateful.”

The document camera will give me the ability to project clear images for students to see. We are in distance learning and looking at all types of visuals is a daily part of learning. It is very challenging to write something down for the students and then try and get the paper to show through my web camera. The use of the document camera will allow me to teach from home and show my students clear images of their learning material in real-time. They will not have to wait for me to write, show the material to the camera, then remove the visual-only to write and repeat the same process over. Students learn by seeing and doing. While I work on a writing example, modeling for students, they will be able to see in real-time what I am doing. This would also be the same for math practice, reading texts, modeling any examples that I can capture on the document camera, and project into our virtual class session.
