The document camera will give me the ability to project clear images for students to see. We are in distance learning and looking at all types of visuals is a daily part of learning. It is very challenging to write something down for the students and then try and get the paper to show through my web camera. The use of the document camera will allow me to teach from home and show my students clear images of their learning material in real-time. They will not have to wait for me to write, show the material to the camera, then remove the visual-only to write and repeat the same process over. Students learn by seeing and doing. While I work on a writing example, modeling for students, they will be able to see in real-time what I am doing. This would also be the same for math practice, reading texts, modeling any examples that I can capture on the document camera, and project into our virtual class session.
