We Like To Move It! Move it!
Funded Jan 1, 2016The students are fascinated by the Ipod and the Bluetooth speaker. Many of them spend time staring at the speaker, wondering how the music comes out of that little speaker. It is so much more convenient to travel from room to room with a small Ipod and speaker, rather than a large cd/boombox.
In some of my classes I let the student choose the music from the list. Some of them enjoy hitting the pause and play button and we do a travel/stop game.
This has truly been a great gift and makes my day a lot easier.
Thank you.”

Keepin' the Beat!
Funded Sep 19, 2014My students with disabilities benefited greatly from your generous donation of drums. They were able to keep a beat, follow a sequence, differentiate, respond to adult requests and make choices.
We used the lollipop drums to follow several different beats. The drums were easy for them to hold and manipulate. The students picked a number card and had to play that number of beats on the drum. We then had to follow a drum sequence on a Native American music cd. Most of the students were able to do this. We followed up recently with a Caribbean beat, and marched to the music while playing the drums.
This activity had a very positive effect on the students. They were able to focus and follow directions.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”
