Providing students with choice, enables a feeling of personal investment in their learning. Not all students can work effectively at a standard desk and chair. Flexible seating would provide various options such as standing, sitting or kneeling on the floor, and would allow students to move about and collaborate together easily. Flexible seating encourages students to communicate with one another, which builds relationships, and strengthens community inside the classroom. Students who are excited to come to school each day, will produce their best work! My students deserve every opportunity to achieve success, and flexible seating will contribute to this goal!
