• Children Are the Key to Change

  Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students have so enjoyed reading these books. We use them for our read aloud time after lunch each day. My students love having this time to relax and listen to a story after the excitement of their lunch hour. Sometimes we then take these stories and use them as the basis for a class discussion or a lesson, but oftentimes we just enjoy the literature and absorb the message it is teaching us. I love seeing students have those break throughs or want to discuss the story more with me later. Thanks again so much for making this possible.”

• Representation Matters in our Classroom Library!

  Thank you so much for helping us receive books that represent the diverse school community we live in. I love using these materials as read alouds to expose students to different cultures and communities, and also to make them feel seen when they see students that look like them. Sometimes we use these books as the basis of lessons or discussions, other times they are just read for the pure joy of literature and exposure to diverse cultures. We love learning about others and the classroom discussions that have been sparked have truly been amazing. Again, thank you so much.”
