When students cannot hear what's going on, they "tune out." In order to prevent this, students and teachers will use the microphones to amplify voices, leading to more engagement with the lesson and instructions. These resources will support student learning it will aid in the delivery of lessons by the teacher and in presentations given by students. The students in my classroom will no longer have to struggle to hear from the back of the room. They will not have to compete with the sounds of rustling papers from the person sitting next to them. When working in groups, students can use the handheld mics so they don't have to compete with all the background noise. For whole class instructions, the presenter's voice will always be loud and clear for everyone in the class to hear when using the microphone amplifiers. In addition, students will enjoy being able to talk in the microphones when they give their own presentations. This will support students in delivering a presentation that everyone in the room can hear and enjoy-especially those who are a little shy! In order to encourage students to participate or present in class, I would like to offer special VIP items-including the colored microphones and lights.
