I teach at a low income school where students have little to no access to technology at home. I would like to be able to provide my students with the same resources students in higher income schools have so that they are able to compete at the same level as other children their age. This generation is the technology generation, but even so, our students do not know how to use technology outside of social media. I want to be able to provide my students with the opportunity to see how technology can serve as an educational resource to empower them. I need help providing enough technology for all my students to encounter on a daily basis, and be proficient with it. Currently my classroom only has 3 classroom computers that are suppose to service about 50 kids. It is nearly impossible to give all students the adequate amount of access to technology with what we are equipped with. I am asking for one tablet per group so that students have it on hand whenever they do projects and need to resource information. The tablets will also help with interventions to help students who perform low, access programs that help them with basic math and science skills. We take for granted what we are able to access and use the most basic level of technology every day. So please help me get these tablets for my students. To help them reach further success in school. Thank you.
