  • Notebook Supplies

    Funded Jan 26, 2015

The joy of your donations cannot be put into words. These supplies came in multiple boxes. Each day a new book would come and students would open its contents finding supplies that we use on a daily basis. Its funny to think that such excitement can come from markers, glue sticks and scissors. But when you use these supplies everyday it's nice to have brand new ones.

By supporting our classroom you have given us motivation to keep working towards our learning goals as the year goes on. Your donations will be used with great love and appreciation. Thank you for your continued support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hall

  • Notebooks, Get Your Notebooks

    Funded Jul 30, 2014

Thank you for your generous donation of notebooks to our classroom. These notebooks are a daily part of classroom learning and a key to showing that students have mastered each day's lesson. Students who are unable to provide notebooks for themselves are given one to use for the classroom.

Not a day goes by that we are not using our notebooks. Within these notebooks students write essays, analyze literature and create their own poems. Students work together on certain assignments or show mastery on their own. Through your donation you are creating an environment of teamwork by making sure every student has a notebook to use in the classroom.”

  • Getting Back to the Basics

    Funded May 7, 2014

The materials that you provided for our classroom are absolutely wonderful. The pencil sharpener in itself is perfection. When the pencil sharpener was set up we had a demonstration on how to use it and the students were amazed by how sharp a pencil can be sharpened. Essays have never been written faster or with more enthusiasm than with the help of our fancy pencil sharpener.

The highlighters that were donated are currently being used in argumentative writing. Students use six different colors to identify different aspects of an argumentative essay. The glue sticks are constantly being shown love as class work is glued into their notebooks.

Thank you once again for your wonderful support and donation. You have no idea how impactful these supplies are each day in the classroom. We truly appreciate all you have done for us.”

    Ms. Hall

  • The Write Stuff

    Funded Jan 23, 2015

Thank you for supporting our classroom. You have supplied us with motivation to keep working hard with the help of your donation.

These donations will be put right to use when they reach student's hands. Through these supplies essays will be written, projects will be created and stories will be analyzed. Although these donations seem simple they make a dramatic impact in the classroom on a daily basis. Students rarely go a day without using a pen and pencil. Basic supplies keep a classroom fully running. We are truly grateful that you picked this project to fund. Thank you once again for your support.”

  • Sharpening our Skills

    Funded Apr 19, 2013

A box full of pencil sharpeners, erasers and glue sticks were a welcome sight when they arrived to our classroom and these supplies are still being appreciated to this very day. I know it may sound strange to find joy in basic supplies, but the truth is it's the little things that are essential to making a classroom run smoothly. Not a day goes by that a glue stick in not assisting a student by adding pages to their notebook, a pencil sharpener helping a student write an essay or an eraser motivating a student to do their very best. We are truly grateful that you have blessed our classroom with the supplies that impact our daily learning adventures. Thank you for your support and continued donations!”

  • Interactive Supplies

    Funded Jan 17, 2013

All the colorful supplies came today! We opened the box as soon as it arrived and the students, as well as myself, have not seen more markers or colored pencils before. It feels like the first day of school with all the brand new supplies. In fact students were hesitant today to use them during their work. I am positive that by the end of the week they will no longer be able to resist using our beautiful new markers and colored pencils!

Thank you for your wonderful support. You have given us a renewed sense of energy and motivation to finish the year off strong; just like we began! I could not of done this without your donations! Thanks again!”

  • Discovering New Words

    Funded Mar 4, 2013

The thesaurus' came in today and they are beautiful! Your funding came in just when 6th graders are learning about resources. They are acquiring the skills to use dictionaries, thesaurus', almanacs and glossaries in class. Each resources is a center they have to go to and complete an activity. The students were extra excited to dive into their new thesaurus and discover new words. Thank you for your generous donation. You have opened the door for students to learn new words. I am incredibly grateful to have such wonderful donors like you!”

  • Biographies all Around!

    Funded Sep 2, 2012

The second these books landed in the classroom they found there way into the hands of students! The next twenty minutes were consumed with these books traveling from hand to hand as they flipped through these new books containing great leaders of the past and present. I have never seen my students sit so quietly before with books in their hands. They devoured each of these books in a few short weeks soaking up all the information given to them. They have already written research reports and learned a variety of facts about historical leaders with the help of these books. Thank you for allowing my students the wonderful opportunity to read these biographies! You support is greatly appreciated!”

  • Becoming Outstanding Citizens!

    Funded Oct 13, 2012

From the second this project was funded students have been burning with excitement to play these social studies games. One student opened up the explorers cards and began reading them immediately. I am amazed with how their enthusiasm has not faded for these new materials.

Through the use of the social studies games students are able to reinforce what they have learned in the classroom. Lessons from land formations or how to use a map students are learning various aspects of American history.

Thank you for your continued support and helping students become better citizens through the use of games and explorer cards.”

  • Homes for Books!

    Funded Nov 21, 2012

Thank you for providing our books with room to breathe. Our new bookshelf is a lovely addition to our classroom. This new addition is becoming the main attraction to the room. Books that had gone unnoticed in the past are now on display for students to pick up and read.

Not to mention the book shelf revolves; which makes it easier for students to see all the books that are available to them. I am truly grateful for your support and wonderful donation. I am thrilled that our books have more room and are no longer in boxes! You will forever be a part of our classroom through your donation!”

    Ms. Hall

I teach 7th and 8th grade language arts. A majority of my students have a disability (specific learning disabilities, ADD, ADHD, Asperges syndrome and others), but do not let their labels fool you! If you were to walk into my classroom on any given day you would find students working together on a project, finding information on a computer, learning as a group or reading a book. Despite having a disability my students are more than capable to learn anything they put their minds to. They might need a little extra time and some help, but they can reach any goal they choose!
