My students are continuing to learn appropriate versus inappropriate school behaviors. One way I teach this is through the request of a break when they are feeling frustrated, angry, or upset. Having a couple of bean bag chairs will help calm my students when they are feeling out of control. These will be a great tool in our calm down area of the classroom! All of my students require some form of sensory input to feel regulated throughout their day. The use of the rocking chairs will help those students who have a hard time staying seated for very long because they need the constant motion to stay focused.
