These materials will make a difference in my students learning by creating a space where we can all sit together and learn collectively as a class. The easel will make for easy viewing and the carpet will create a space for everyone to be seen and heard. Carpet time is essential to building a community within the classroom where students feel loved, valued, and appreciated. An easel would allow me to display our daily morning message as well as facilitate learning throughout the day as a mobile whiteboard. Additionally, an easel would allow students to take ownership of their learning by having an accessible learning tool that they can use to participate in lessons.
