When the pandemic hit and the schools were closed, I was forced to learn how to do speech therapy remotely. I had never done that before and was extremely skeptical of the progress my students--especially the lower functioning ones--would make. I have since done a complete 180. Using digital materials on an iPad or a Chromebook has been incredibly motivating and engaging for them! I am absolutely amazed at what progress they have made. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home or at school, so using iPads and computers with them for therapy helps to increase their technological literacy and will prepare them for life in the 21st century. With your help, I can continue using digital materials, even when we return to in-person learning.
