The math and language center materials I am requesting will provide students with a variety of daily opportunities to practice important math skills and strategies during math workshop. These math centers will provide my students with important practice across the Kindergarten math and language standars which include number sense and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, data, and problem-solving. In addition to providing students with daily hands-on practice, the math centers will give students opportunities to collaborate and communicate with each other while being engaged in meaningful math activities. The structure of math workshop also allows me to meet with individual students and groups to tailor instruction to individual learning needs. These math centers will be a vital part of a workshop classroom that will be utilized each day.
