I am trying to create a student-centered learning environment, where students feel engaged and excited to learn. They can choose to work in the most comfortable place in the classroom, where they feel they can concentrate and do their best work with these various seating options. I have chosen wobbly stools, floor seats, pillows and cushions, to accommodate my students' varied needs. Today's educators, myself included, have come to realize that in order to keep their teaching relevant and accessible, it is essential to take educational risks by trying new strategies and approaches. This idea of flexible seating is a completely new concept for me, but I am hoping it helps my students feel more engaged and appreciated.

About my class
