Tools for Teaching
Funded Jul 16, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donation to help support my classroom. During this time there are so many unknowns, but its nice to know that we have wonderful people out there supporting teachers.
Many of the supplies that were purchased with your donation are helping us do small group instruction. Each student is able to have their own supplies during the centers such as laminated cards for math, white boards with markers and one on one assistance using our new easel marker board. We have our D.E.A.R time scheduled so students can practice their fluency and use the phone whispers.
Coming from a lower income school district it is more than appreciated from the students who could not afford school supplies. Thank you again for all of your kindness in supporting our school and classroom with "Tools for Teaching" and helping our class have a fun filled year.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Nagy

Funded Jan 1, 2019Where do I begin to tell you how much we all appreciate your donations to my classroom project. After being displaced from our home school and having to spend four months away from our school, my class needed something to look forward to. The day all of the items arrived I was teaching Math. My class knew right away what the boxes had inside. Immediately, we all helped to unload the items and set up the classroom. The students were overjoyed with excitement as everything was being pulled from the boxes.
From a very bare classroom to a colorful, comfortable and welcoming room, my class is now the students' "home away from home". I set up the carpet, tables and stools in the front of the classroom where students can gather and complete group work or enjoy some flexible seating. The tall light and pillows are kept in our reading corner, so we can enjoy some D.E.A.R (drop everything and read) time during class. This is a calming way to just get lost in a good book. I use the posters to keep a positive environment all around the classroom. We try to live each day by what they say.
This was my first project funded and I am beyond grateful for everyone who has donated to our class. It truly was a difficult time for our district to lose everything because of mold. We had to start over. You all had a part in putting a smile on my student's faces. Giving them a comfortable place to relax while doing their school work and knowing that there are amazing people out there who are willing to help if you just ask! Thank you all again for your amazing generosity. It will never be forgotten!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Nagy
