I work with students in 5th through 8th grade. I love meeting them in the elementary school and then helping them with the BIG transition to the middle school. It gives me joy to watch them grow and mature over the 4 years that I have the privilege of working with them. I get to see them be fun loving 5th graders who soak up all the knowledge that they can in my guidance lessons, then transition into the "big" 6th grade kids in the middle school, go through the twists and turns of the emotional roller coaster of 7th grade, and then mature and prepare to graduate from our school and embark on their journey to high school in 8th grade. I center my school counseling curriculum and work with students one on one to teach and practice these essential tools for success. It is my goal that by the time they graduate at the end of 8th grade, they will be able to succeed.
