Keep Our Hands and Feet Warm!
Funded Jan 22, 2025We are so grateful for your support, our little hands and feet will be much warmer thanks to you.
The next generation of world leaders will be able to enjoy our cold winters and play outside much more comfortably. This is just in time for extra cold and will make learning that much easier too!”

We Can Do Science and Math!
Funded Oct 16, 2023The students were so excited to see the new calming space come into the room. It's a space where students can work and get their minds ready to return to class and their peers. The beautiful, colorful lamp and the comfy bean bag chairs have been the perfect addition for our calming corner. We have also been playing the social skills games during our counseling sessions--the kids love them! Being in school can be a challenge for some students and for many different reasons; having different materials that are suited for calming us down has been essential to being able to grow as future scientists and engineers. Thank you for your generosity!”

Funded Nov 19, 2018Thank you so much for your support for creating a comfortable counseling office! It has already made such a difference in the work I do with students. As students have entered the office since the materials came, they have all commented on how nice the change is. Multiple students have also said it feels calmer in my office, teachers have also commented on that!
Each of the thumb-balls, the temper tamers, and the singing bowl has allowed an expansion for introduction for each individual meeting with students. It allows me to give them options for opening how they want to start our meeting, whether or not they want to start with a calming exercise/meditation with the singing bowl or focus on their strengths with answering questions that challenge them to think about what strengths that they already have. These opening activities then help frame the rest of our meeting and focus more on the student.
The rug, bean bag chairs, globe lights, and sequence pillow have given the counseling office a calmer more reflective space. Students have LOVED coming in and sitting down, and have been able to engage in conversation at a different level. The counseling space has turned from a classroom feel to a counseling feeling. With the addition of more comfortable seating, students can touch the velvety surface or the create designs on the pillow while sharing. This allows them to be less self-conscious about their sharing, so we are able to do more work together in a shorter period of time.
Thank you again for your support for my project, it has already impacted and will continue to impact the social and emotional work I do with students!”
