Warm Hats And Gloves For Winter
Funded Jan 8, 2024Thank you for supporting my efforts to provide the students at my school with keeping warm during the brutally cold winter months. Thanks to you, over 57 students received hats, gloves and scarves.
To say the kids were appreciative upon receiving them is an understatement. Upon passing these items out, I noticed very chapped hands. I also saw socks being used as gloves. Your help truly made this group of kids feel very special, especially as the below zero weather was forecasted as I passed the items out.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much!”

Funded May 10, 2023I would like to thank you for supporting my efforts to better support the hard working teachers and students at my school.
As an Instructional Coach, I work with several teachers a week. Often times we are meeting to discuss strategies to help close the achievement gap in the classrooms. I like to videotape the teachers and have them watch their teaching. This strategy gives them an opportunity to see themselves in action, which allows them to reflect on their practices. The videos have come in handy and the students are benefiting from this practice.
By generously providing this iPad, you are not only helping teacher, but most importantly, our students...our future. Your kindness is truly appreciated. Thank you.”

Funded Oct 18, 2021Thank you for supporting my efforts to provide our scholars with an exciting hands-on project. By supporting my project, you provided hours of problem solving, coding and teamwork.
As you can see by the photos, the scholars had to work together to get their robot through the obstacle course. They had to know the codes to get their computer to turn right, left or go straight. It was truly exciting to watch the kids in action.
Your support in getting this engaging activity into the hands of our kids is greatly appreciated.”

Funded Sep 24, 2021Thank you-Thank you-Thank you so very much for providing a printer for use in my classroom. Thanks to you, we were able to immediately print items quickly for use.
We used the printer for so many things this year, from celebrating growth and meeting goals to printing passages that immediately met the needs of my scholars. It was exciting to send prints to the printer so pictures could be displayed in the classroom and in our hallway. Our parents especially appreciated seeing their scholars photos on display. I noticed many pictures being taken to share with family members. Since I did have scholars learning the english language as well as special needs scholars, the printer was appreciated to help build background when discussing vocabulary they were not familiar with. Thanks to you, they were learning on a level playing field and could easily participate in class discussions.
Your generosity was greatly appreciated by many, many people in our learning community. Thank you!”

Funded Oct 25, 2021Thank you-thank you-thank you so very much for your support and generosity in supporting my project to help my scholars add to their personal libraries. Thanks to you, they now have 3 books added to their home libraries.
I have to admit, the most popular book of this project was The One and Only Ivan. Since we briefly covered the story of Ivan, the shopping mall gorilla, my scholars were so appreciative to receive the full story. By already participating in a project of creating a healthy habitat at a zoo for Ivan, they were so excited to dive into the book. We actually read the book together in class and then watched the movie. It truly cemented their ideas of how important a healthy habitat was for Ivan. Thank you for bridging this information together. The extra books you donated were readily received. I made sure to include books at all reading levels and my scholars felt successful reading at their independent levels.
Your generosity was greatly appreciated.”

Funded Sep 23, 2021Thank you-thank you-thank you so much for providing my scholars with so many exciting drawing books. I cannot begin to tell you how excited they were to see all of the materials as I displayed each one when they arrived. They couldn't wait to join the group to explore and build comradery.
The Manga books was a huge hit. Many hours have been spent drawing characters in the book. You also generously provided "How to" books on animals and faces. It's exciting to hear them talking and complementing each other while they are creating their drawings. Where are they drawing these pictures? They are drawing them in blank art books that were purchased by YOU. As you see in the photos provided, this group of scholars are quite talented.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”

Funded Aug 14, 2019Thank you so much for generously providing Time For Kids to my wonderful classroom of second grade scholars. My scholars look forward to their new Time each week and can't wait to begin reading.
Thanks to you, each week they are learning more about the world around them. For example, they recently read about how plastic straws are harmful to sea animals such as turtles. They learned about a new animal called a Pangolin. The Time For Kids magazine is rich with information that my scholars are excited to learn more about.
I appreciate your generosity in providing this magazine. Thank you!”

Funded Apr 19, 2019I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generosity in providing my scholars with much needed materials in order to help our classroom flow more easily.
Thanks to you, we now have three large totes that contain station supplies that are used every day. The totes also pose as mini tables for my scholars to work on during stations. The bright sentence strips help important vocabulary terms stand out on displays. The bright colors also make it easier to find information when needed. The plastic sleeves house the data that is inside every scholar's data binder. The plastic is durable when second grade hands are turning pages or adding additional data to them.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making our days run more smoothly.”

For example, thanks to you, every scholar has benefited by having his/her own scissors to use as well as their own binders for data. This has been a HUGE help! Also, you generously provided a resource book that has given my team strategies to use with struggling scholars. We plan on utilizing this resource in the years to come.
