Flexible Seating
Funded May 27, 2023What an honor it has been to be the recipient of your generosity. My students will love these flexible seating options in my class. They were so excited when they were delivered and unboxed. We will be adding to a more homely feel and make learning more fun. These will provide students a choice of how they will learn. It can help with students who have a focusing problem as well. Again, thank you so much for helping my classroom and my students be better learners in my classroom. We greatly appreciate it!”

Funded Dec 3, 2019This project being funded has allowed my students to read and hear stories beyond their grade level. I have given students permission to take the devices home with them in an effort to allow them to read and hear stories in their leisure time. They are enjoying stories without the taxing effort of Decoding the material to read it. This is most important for ESL and learning disabled children. Also, it is giving them the opportunity to read for enjoyment.
Students are excited for the opportunity to follow along to these stories and learn auditorily, and then be able to share information learned with others. Students love books and reading IF THEY ARE ABLE TO DO SO. However, when getting through the book is difficult, it takes the enjoyment away.
As a teacher, I am excited to see my students wanting to participate and read more and more. They are sharing with each other the books they have read and encouraging and recommending books to other students. When they read something of their choice, they are eager to share! That makes me happy!”

Funded Aug 3, 2018My student use the carpet as an interactive learning tool. We are able to identify both uppercase and lowercase letters and then they can say what sound those letters make. The students can use the numbers on the carpet as a learning tool as well. We are about to use it as a whole group learning space where I can also have them a designated area to control behaviors and set up routines in my classroom. Also, because we use flexible seating in my class, it provides a working area where students have the choice of where they can work on their own.
The first time my kindergartners saw the rug, they loved it. They were in awe of the how pretty the carpet was and how interactive they can be with the rug. They love to work on the rug with their activities.
We would like to thank all of the donors who made this carpet possible in our classroom.”
