The books requested provide us with real life role-model inventors, scientists, engineers and architects that we can connect to first and foremost. Reading about the lives of great inventors who grew up similar to us helps us realize that we too can be great inventors some day! The 3-D building kits will help us connect kinetically to the ideas we read about and make deeper scientific connections with. As English language learners, we always need something we can touch and manipulate to understand what we are hearing and also show what we are thinking as well! We often times collect everyday materials being recycled to create inventions with. The new materials being requested will allow us to take our thinking and ideas further. We are excited to create new inventions with these materials!
