Every year we read the novel Circuit by Francisco Jimenez. We complete a unit on empathy and the struggle of immigrants. This project helps my students understand how some students live in labor camps, are unable to attend school and really miss their childhood. They move around a lot and have very little consistency in their lives. My students love the story and are so intrigued when learning all the concepts this novel covers. The novel I'm asking for is the second in the series by this author and will continue the story. My students are so excited to be able to read all three of the books in this trilogy. This project will help me get fifteen copies of the second book, Breaking Through.
