My students use their laptops during instructional time on a daily basis. Keeping the laptops charged has become an issue. Some students aren't able to complete their work, assignments, or assessments without having to put their computer away in the charging cart. Having extension cords, power strips, and outlet splitters would make their lives easier by providing a continuous period of work time without unnecessary breaks and interruptions due to loss of battery life. This is especially necessary during standardized testing. Students had to stop in the middle to get power to their laptops in order to finish. This disrupts both the students needing to charge their laptops and the students around them. This is why I am requesting extension cords, surge protectors and power outlets.
