First grade is packed with important and exciting transitions as children leave behind much of the play of preschool and kindergarten, and begin to develop more academic skills.
First-graders learn mathematics on many fronts, including geometry, numbers and number sense, measurement, patterns, shapes, money, and telling time.
A first grade student must be able to count, identify, and write numbers up to 120. They must perform one-digit addition and subtraction. The resources that I am requesting will allow my students to learn these skills and have them be more interactive within the classroom and not just paper/pencil activities. They will gain a better understanding of number concepts and will expand their math abilities.
