My students need a classroom library that is color-coded so they can see and learn about different genres. Understanding different genres will help my students understand what they are reading. It will also open up the world of learning that comes along with reading. My students will learn that they can use books to learn about any topic or subject. Literacy learning is not just about having books to read, it is about having a space for reading that is both inviting and functional. The colorful baskets will attract students' attention and help them identify the appropriate genres of the books they read.
