Adaptive Physical Education Equipment

Funded Aug 13, 2019

We received the easy grip balls and the dome arches and started using them right away. For physical education we used the arches as part of an obstacle course. Students crawled through the arches to practice their traveling skills. We used the easy grip balls for throwing and catching. The students practiced their gross motor skills with a partner.

When we introduced the new equipment the students faces lit up. They were so excited and couldn't wait to start using it. They worked so nicely with partners practicing gross motor skills with the easy grip balls. They took turns crawling through the arches as part of an obstacle course.

Our next steps are to use the dome arches to enhance the students traveling skills by placing them further apart, which also help agility skills. The easy grip balls will be used to enhance gross motor skills by having students practice overhand throwing and catching.

This equipment allows us to add our current equipment and adapt our teaching to fit the needs of our students. We are so grateful for your donations for this physical education equipment.”

With gratitude,
