These young explorers need open storage unit shelves to have easy access to unit blocks, assorted props tied to their current interests and experiences to build and rebuild invented and familiar structures. "Block play is a valuable learning tool for young children of all ages." The blocks center needs low, open shelves for storing block materials when they are not in use. The shelves need to be open and accessible to the children during learning center activity time. Providing my students with this storage unit shelf will help them learn how to organize their block materials when they are done playing by putting them away using visual cues.
