Having spent the last 17 years in Arizona, I'm back teaching in California and had to leave a LOT of my things behind due to running out of space in the moving truck. I'm teaching 2nd grade now and am excited to be back in a community with students from many various backgrounds, cultures, and religions. I appreciate and enjoy the diversity for sure! My "Happy Campers" love coming to school and are eager to be here in person, as many of these students missed out on a big chunk of in person learning due to the shutdown in California. I'm working hard at getting my shelves stocked back up with games, learning activities, art supplies, and more to make their learning environment as welcoming and differentiated as possible.
