The materials I am requesting for my students will all be used. We have an idea of where these products will be placed. We just need your help in getting them to the students! The laptops/printer/mini-fridge will be raffled to students who have submitted their acceptance and award letters to the grad center. These students come from low-income communities and receive free or reduced lunch at school. Our senior class is made up of more than 800 students who need your help to start their college career. As we know, the college experience is a wonderful time to find your passion and start the path to a better future. However, it is also a time of major expenses. The mini-fridge is especially vital to students who will be living on-campus and away from home. That is going to be a necessity for their well-being. Students will be able to store food and drinks during the semester, especially those on meal plans. As we know, meal plans do not provide enough for the day. Students are limited to 1 meal a day, which leaves them off to finding a way to provide the rest for themselves. This will help them save money as well as give them the option to stay healthy by deterring them to go out and buy fast food. The printer is another resource very important for them. Majority of the students will need to submit printed materials to their professors, and instead of paying for a school printer usage, they will be able to have one themselves. I have seen how hard they work to secure financial assistance for university. It is time to help them get another push into starting their studies.
