This classroom project was brought to life by New Teacher Fund and 5 other donors.

The flash cards, area and perimeter teaching kit, write and wipe boards and markers, geometric shapes, construction paper, number lines, and other materials requested will aid in student learning as the manipulatives will allow students to experience hands-on mathematics activities. When students have an opportunity to manipulate items, learning is enhanced. When real time situations are presented, with objects to touch and feel, it makes learning more personal and fun for students. By donating to our project, student performance and learning will be enhanced as students are able to problem solve by touch. The use of manipulatives will allow the students to be more engaged and excited about their work. The use of manipulatives is in math is a plus plus for hands-on learning.
