Yoga, Stretching, and Relaxation Corner
Funded Sep 22, 2024All I can say is thank you so much for contributing to this project. My students were very excited to open the yoga seating chairs and fruit snacks. We have been able to enjoy them for reading and gathering to talk about the books we have read during our time together. This gives my students a safe space to also relax and talk about their days.
The next step is extending this to after school to involve my athletes as well. They have a lot of demand on them and they can utilize this corner for relaxation, stretching, and reading as well. I would also like to encourage some of my ESOL students to engage in reading activities with other students in the class to improve their English speaking skills.
Being in high school can present many challenges and as a teacher and with the help of your donations I am able to do these activities with my kids. This space gives the opportunity to promote interactions for mental health and provides a positive environment.”

This classroom project was brought to life by .Socks and Bags Rock!
Funded Aug 23, 2018The project socks and bags rock has contributed to the team in many ways. Not only has it been a confidence booster but it has also created a bond between the old and new members of the team. When the team got dressed out for their first game of the season not only did they look great but they were ready to play.
The team was absolutely elated when I opened the bags and passed them out with their uniforms. They could not believe that people who they had never met were kind enough to donate to the project socks and bags rock for them. Also, having new socks as well was great, every member on the team was able to receive two pairs and these will last.
The next steps for the team is to have a successful season. We are looking to improve our overall record from last season. The team has been rebuilding since I took over two years ago. This is my third season as head coach and hopefully we will finish the year with more games under the win column. Again, the team and myself are so grateful for the donations from the donors of this amazing website.”
