Having an iPad in the classroom is a huge asset in helping students in a variety of ways. My students will use subject specific apps that target certain areas of need in reading, math, spelling and science. My students teach to learn. Once they learn a skill, they blog and post mini lessons about their new found knowledge. This gives other 4th graders a chance to be taught from their classmates as they watch and apply what their peers are teaching them. Having an iPad will allow this to happen more frequently, giving students yet another chance for re-teaching re-learning in a whole new way. An iPad in my classroom will also be used as a tool for management, capturing classroom moments, and creativity. This iPad Air will be a great addition to our 21st century learning!
