Thanks to you, my athletes were able to stay fueled and hydrated to perform their very best at both track meets and summer basketball league. My athletes were very excited to receive the snacks, as one of the side effects of hard work, is hunger. Your donations fueled district, south state, and state track meet champions.
These snacks played a crucial role in fueling our athletes by providing necessary nutrients, maintaining energy levels, and aiding in their recovery. Here are some ways that the snacks in this project helped my student-athletes:
- they provided quick energy through carbs, which was essential for sprints and long distance runs.
- They were passed out as post-exercise snacks, which help repair and build muscle tissue
- They helped replenish glycogen stores in muscles, which is crucial for my athletes who train and compete frequently.
