  • Technology is the Key!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so very much for your kindness. As a teacher working in an urban district we see a variety of students and sometimes our supplies don't meet the needs of the student. It is because of kind donors such as yourself, that I am able to try to meet the needs of my students and provide them with an education that is impactful.

This new piece of technology offers a portal of information that my students will use for years to come. Once again thank you. Please remember this donation is tax deductible.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Smith-Gibbs

  • Getting Print Ready!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Technology is the cornerstone of most of society today. It is just as impactful in education. In recent years we have seen more and more of a need for technology in the educational realm. From in-person, to hybrid to full virtual teaching, schools have had to adjust for the demand of technology on a daily basis.

Now that we are back to an in-person schedule it's great to have this new printer to assist my students with graphic organizers and documents to assist them in their learning. Hands on learning is so important and this piece of technology has been a wonderful addition to the arsenal of tools used on a daily basis.

While there may be specific students that benefits more from organizers and other printed documents, all my students are able to gain use from this gift. It is greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

I work with multiple grade levels as well as with students with various disabilities. My students will be given the opportunity to receive instruction in small groups. These small groups will give them the opportunity to reinforce their individual grade level curriculum on a daily basis. We need an iPad Pro with a protective case and an Apple Pencil. Students will be able to utilize the iPad Pro to create graphic organizers, sort and list facts and apply concepts and skills visually. Each student will have the ability to address their individual learning style. Special needs students from grade levels 9 through 12 will be given the benefit of opportunities to use technology in class. These small groups will create fewer distractions for my special needs students who have focusing issues. This will ease the anxiety of those students who struggle in larger groups and need the ability to dissect the skills being taught. This will provide a different level of comfort but still give the opportunity for them to work continuously with their grade level peers.
